When TORI and I were talking about me…
When TORI and I were talking about me purchasing the system she never said that they would haft to drill a hole through the brick above my garage door when I was told that I told her that I no longer wanted the system to cancel the order. The installer TORON knows it to. I didn't want the small holes in my wall inside the house but I was going to deal with that but holes in the outside of my house that's a non-starter for me TORI knew how I felt about that. Your sales rep failed to advise me that…
Your sales rep failed to advise me that besides the monthly cost for monitoring that is an additional cost for equipment. Which means my monthly cost went from about $64.00 to over $110.00 a month. I am on the edge of terminating this deal do the under handiness to get me accept the system. Need list to say I am not a happy camper.

I have 2 pieces of equipment that aren’t working on a house I just moved into. After spending Ng an hour and a half on the phone with support, “troubleshooting,” they finally agreed to send someone out. Next month.

The equipment quality is great
The equipment quality is great. Cameras are clear and sound is good. The app is pretty disappointing. Very slow or doesn't even connect sometimes. And then when you go to cancel, there's a huge fee unless the equipment is paid off. Also was promised by the salesman that it would save me 15-20% on my homeowners insurance. It did not. Unfortunately I am stuck with it until I can pay the equipment off and cancel the plan. Would not get again.

The installer made holes in the wall to…
The installer made holes in the wall to pass the electric cables, rather than placing the cable between the walls, as any other professional company would have done. The driveway camera keeps activating, thinking it's detecting a human when it's just shadows or the bright lights from a car. We will be calling soon to cancel this product since we are within our two-month trial period.

My door pad is not working
My door pad is not working and I've been waiting over two months to get it fixed. The technician dont arrive on time or dont arrive at all. I've been expressing how unsatisfied I am with the company and when I am transferred to a manager the call suddenly drops.

The system is very buggy and the tech support is not knowledgable enough to help with the issues. Also the installer was difficult to deal with.

I have not gotten any help.A charge account was opened without my knowledge. The main backdoor is not covered at all and the doorbell coverage could be better. The back sliding door needs better coverage needs to be better too. I have no way to contact anyone for help. The installers left Friday evening. It is a week later and nothing has been done. I am starting to think it was a scam.

Screwed over by Vivint
We removed our security system in May 2024 and notified Vivint. In November they started billing us for monitoring on a non-existent system. After over $800 in fees for monitoring the non-existent system, we were refunded $60. The CSR I talked to, an d the supervisor were apologetic, but gave no further help.

The system works well I'll give them that, however, the salesman lied about this not showing up my credit report, it does. If you are a renter, don't bother with this system. If you have to move and you can't use the system at the next rental they make you pay off the system, then if you don't have the system paid off in a year they reactivate the monitoring and make you pay that too even if you're not using the system. They also charge you a fee for turning off the monitoring system. Overall slimeball behavior.

Customer Service is terrible
Customer Service is terrible! Cancelled our service due to selling our home in February 2025 and they continued to charge us through June. We are still trying to get the money refunded to our account. We enjoyed the service while we had it. Will definitely consider a different company on the new house we are building simply because of the difficulty with customer service.

Beyond disappointed...
My installation technician didn't activate a door and had it labeled as a window. He didn't label any windows beyond a number, which is not helpful or have them set to alert when opened. He was on his phone the entire time and didn't even state the monitors in the home are not smoke detectors which he placed wherever he wanted to. He broke a couple things in my home and didn't notify me. He stated to call him if there was anything we had questions about and when I did, the phone went directly to voicemail and he didn't respond to text either. It's really hard to find good workers with a measure pride in their work and integrity. These systems are really expensive. Respect people's time and hard earned money.

Pushy Sales People
Equipment started having issues which is expected with time, the problem was it was a hassle to get them to send someone up to replace or fix it. I explained I didn't have time to replace or fix it myself and preferred they send a technician several times, even if I had to pay, but it was a fight. Eventually enough of the equipment stopped working that I just decided to go with SimpliSafe. I attempted to cancel my subscription at which point they put me on hold with the cancellation department. I didn't feel like waiting around and decided to handle it another day. Of course this just meant I forgot about it. No big deal. They called to ask for payment when my old credit card got cancelled. No big deal, my fault for not calling back to cancel. I had an outstanding balance to pay before they would allow me to cancel, also no problem. My issue is with their overly pushy sales pitch. The lady on the phone would literally refuse to cancel or take my payment without a sales pitch. I told her no 10 different ways and that I wasn't interested and was happy with my current service. After her refusing to relent after about 5 or 10 minutes, I explained she could either take my payment and cancel the account or I would just hang up and refuse to pay. She couldn't take a hint and tried again to sell me on their service so I hung up. Quality of the equipment was good, don't get me wrong. Price of the service was reasonable. The two star rating is because they refuse to let customers leave apparently. It's too bad to end this on a bad note. She could have easily just taken my payment and the company and I would have parted on good terms. Because of this experience however, I would not recommend them when there are so many other options available. Loving SimpliSafe and sticking with them.

I was extremely hesitant to purchase. The Supervisor on the phone said he would give me 3 free months. I did not get them. I also asked about the credit Inquiry I did want a hard Inquiry due to having great credit. He said it would be a soft Inquiry. I accepted. My credit score went DOWN 27 points due to the Inquiry. He was not honest. I do need to say the young man that came to my door was a super sweet young man. His name was Alex Morales. I regret not getting his supervisors name.

I feel I was not told the truth
I feel I was not told the truth. The sales rep told me that the cameras would be able to pick up my neighbor’s license plate from my house. Not even half that distance, which is from my house to the street. You can barely even tell if somebody is a male or female. The distance from my front door to the neighbors driveway is not even 200 feet and the street is much less half that. I have also called and texted the Rep and he is not calling me back or texting me back. I feel he told us whatever he felt he had to to make a sale. My wife and I are both disappointed right now. He also said he would drop off some stickers for the windows and the yard signs. He dropped off two stickers. Meaning two stickers that are on one sheet for display. I have called the sales representative as well as texted him numerous times. He is not returning any of my calls or text.

Waiting on a call for more assistance that was set up during my initial visit.
The initial security panel set up by phone went great. But I was told to make an appointment for a phone call from a tech to help us finish setting up part of our services on my phone. I made the appointment for 4:00 Friday, August 29th. My son came over to assist me and we waited for 45 minutes and no call came through. I was unable to call again today because of several appointments that took up the day.

No show on returning to complete service
The rep came to my house to set up my doorbell and was supposed to change me to a Smart Thermostat. He installed the doorbell but not the thermostat due to he said he needed to order a part. He came on Aug 18th and I haven't seen him since!!!

ive had a lot of trouble with my camera…
ive had a lot of trouble with my camera since they have been installed. yet to have them all work and record. the inside camera doesnt record at all and i was supposed to get another one in the mail that i never received and now all 3 cameras are off and i dont know how to fix them or how to get someone to come out and help . annoyd that im going to be billed full price for something i havent even been able to use

First off lies...there's really no trial..that's why they want to put it in that day..even though your told you have a trial...second was not told this would be a credit card..I feel like I was fed a bunch of bull shit...I have already passed the word to family and friends about the lies

I have been with this company going on…
I have been with this company going on 2 years i think, and i wasn’t able to put the door camera up and finally had a technician come out for something else so I decided to ask him to assist me with putting the camera up and he agreed. The technician was awesome, but vivint sent me a defective camera. The camera has been in the box since I started. I never opened box for the camera I tried to attempt to put it up, I just set up the sensors on the door. I gave them a call and let them know that the technician said that the camera was faulty and how could they assist me on fixing the situation? They told me that the warranty was up and basically I would have to extend my contract or purchase a new camera. Mind you the technician spoke with the representative, letting them know that the camera was new and has been in the box. It’s very disappointing dealing with companies like that. I have been a loyal customer. Once the contract is up, I will not be renewing and throwing the equipment in the trash.

The sales agent intentionally…
The sales agent intentionally misrepresented that they had coordinated with the HOA and was asked to solicit the area. This was not true and the HOA communicated this with the entire community. Fines may be incurred as a result of damages done during installation. I will be sending those bills to Vivint for full reimbursement. Cancelled my services. Products themselves were good. The app was easy to use and navigate. Some of the products were quite convenient and has useful purposes.
