Your systems closed off infrastructure does not allow modification to the system without purchasing proprietary equipment. This is not stated prior to signing long term contracts. You system prices are exorbitant. Your accessory prices are also wildly elevated, and all you have done is change a frequency. Had I known any of this I would have stuck with your direct competitor. I am looking into legal ways to vacate my contract without paying the remaining balance. You product offers no benefits over any other security company except an increase in cost.

Prior to installing the system you failed to follow up
Prior to installing the system, you agreed I could pay the equipment on the front end and avoid having to go through a finance company. But that did not happen and I tried to call the day the installer came, and could not get through to anyone. Prior to this I had conflicting statements depending which party I was speaking with. Even the day of instillation, I was getting two different days and times. It's like no one ever records or passes on the information. Now I am waiting to here on the finance company to see if I can get a net payoff figure and I have no idea when they will contact me. The equipment works fine but this is not the way a company should be doing business and I wonder what will happen if some future event will have me going through this again.

Beware of "deferment" No service rendered
Beware of "deferment" especially when equipment is paid in full and they are not providing service. After 6 months or whatever your deferment is, they can start billing again even without a signed document. There should be no charges if there is nothing left to pay on equipment and they are not providing service. They have been unwilling to refund the past 3 months of charges unless I decide to renew with them. That's trickery and manipulation. They want to sell me new equipment for a lower monthly price with monitoring. All I want is a refund on the 3 months I've paid them for no service rendered and cancel the account promptly with no penalty instead of roping me into a new contract. Giving two stars to make room for resolving rightly if they do soon.

The sales person that came to my house was nice but he lied to me about a promotion being offered. I didn't get the waved fee of 30 months of service. First, he offered 24 months and then to get me to sign up he changed it to 30 months. Then I signed up with Vivint. Not a good business practice to pull on anyone especially the elderly.

They had me without A/C for 3 days and I’ve still not heard back from them after emailing them multiple times. I got my A/c fixed but it would have been nice if they compensated me for my troubles I had.

I called last week to set up an install…
I called last week to set up an install for today from 12-4 pm. I called at 2 pm to see if they were still coming out. The customer service person called me back and said, that the installer wasn’t coming out today. I asked when they were going to call me. They said, they weren’t going to call me. I said, I can’t work with a company that gives poor customer service. I had already paid 500 for the equipment. Also after looking at their reviews I should have checked them before. This company needs to work on their customer service if they want to stay in business.
Service not complete
2 weeks ago I switched my services to Vivint and Only half of my installation is complete. The scheduled technician came a few days later to finish, but never got out of his vehicle and drove off. I texted him when I saw him leave and he said he would return within an hour. Hours passed and he never returned and no one has contacted me to schedule a time to finish. I contacted the field rep that day and a few days later and received no response.

The system keeps freezing up. Most of the time can not review prior times when alarms went off. As of right now this system is worthless as a security system......
Not worth the money at all
Vivint probably has one good thing goin for them and that’s the quality of there video footage. However what’s the point in good video footage if half the time you have to spend rebooting your system and the other half it’s not picking up what it’s suppose too. For example it literally didn’t pick up my daughter leaving for school in the morning for nearly a week and this has happened on multiple occasions. Next issue is the price is ridiculous for what you get. You’re better off getting Ring. At least this way you’re not paying too dollar for a bad service. Definitely read the fine print before you rush and sign anything because even the salesman can do word play as to far as to how the contract works. This is from someone whose now been with them two years but stuck in my contract

I did like it at first until the lights stayed on and didn't go off then the door bell kept ringing when there was no body was there, then my smoke detector saying it was disabled, then my carbon monoxide was not detector i then was finished, I love to be secure in my house.

There was missing information from the salesman and I was never given enough information to use the system. I have way more than I need or want but wasn't given the option of just having door cameras. He forgot to tell me there would be 2 separate charges, one for the service and one for the equipment which would be paid for with a line of credit from that company. I don't want a line of credit or the credit card they sent. I was led to believe I would be paying out of my checking account which they have the information for. After installation (which was neatly done) the installer gave me his phone number and said he would be in town for 2 weeks and if I had any questions to call him. I left 2 messages the first week and he never called back so I have unanswered questions. I was never shown much about running the system and it's too expensive anyway so I plan to cancel.

Our back door, Cameron, indoor log have never worked. It was a valuated by your technicians and I was promised a service call last week Friday through Tuesday. No one came then I had a confirmed appointment on Thursday between 8 am. and noon. No one called and no one showed up. It has been determined by your technician that the problem is the power source Which was installed in properly and I just want someone to come At a schedule time and make it work.

I wanted to cancel. Was transferred several times. Waited forever on phone. Was offered discounts other pproducts, etc. Not able to cancel and eventually was hung up on.
T-h-e worse customer service
T-h-e worse customer service. Techs never show up in time scheduled. Customer service reps can never understand what we’re saying and vice versa. System needs resetting often. Costs a whole lot than it’s worth.
