Cameras don’t work as great as advertised. I wish i would have just kept my Google cameras . These cameras only work on the app when I’m home.. the main reason i got them was to watch over my house when I’m not home . By the time i get a notification and the camera finally loads ,if it does at all, whomever rang my doorbell is already gone . Not sure if they need to update there software or something but this service is slow. Would not recommend it .. but stuck with it for now . Hopefully things get better because this is bad . Only thing that works well is the security arm and disarm . Cameras are bad .. very bad

Please make sure that your technician have good customer service and they know what they are doing the one that came to my residence was very unprofessional so it turned out to be a very bad experience for me the equipment is not working properly now I have to wait for another technician to come out and fix it and also put a hole in my wall

As a customer I want cameras in a certain spot. Once the installation guys get here they tell me there a 12 foot rule and cannot put the camera where I want them. Strike one!! I asked them to use silicone once the drilled holes in the house for the wire and the guy tells me that it’s a richer fit and we don’t need it. Well my experience through our life is that water can get through anything and it needs sealed. Strike two!! So once I saw the final total of the contract I decided it wasn’t work 4k for something I really wasn’t happy with and I cancelled the service. Tell your guys that the customer ALWAYS comes first.

I’ve had the service for a week now. I would have given it one star but they do answer the phone when I call. I wouldn’t recommend and I’m planning to cancel. Wasn’t aware of the additional add ons to get the full experience. It’s not in live time, there’s a delay and it picks up from the last occurrence instead of what’s currently going on. Guys really really read the reviews I wish I had. I can’t from ring paying 5.00 a month to this service

Installation of combination lock was improperly installed. He removed my deadbolt from my front door, without my permission. He use that hole to install the Vivint lock. Since he used the original lock hole, no key can be used. He never gave me a key since key wouldn’t work due to poor installation. I didn’t know any of this until he was leaving my house.

2. Review if the lighting in the home is adequate for the Senior owner to see all the documents ON THE I-PHONE. Ask if they can read the documents. If they say no then provided these documents on the Ipad.
3. Do not flip through the pictures of the various equipment so fast that the COST is not seen. Mention that these are the costs of the equipment that would be installed.
4. Do not deviate from the sales to ask personnel information that maybe shared by the Senior;due to the fact They live alone and talking to someone who pretends to listen but I blowing smoke so you do not relaix=ze the COST of this equipment and They would be charge for this.
5. Let them know if they sign this document they are opening a line of credit and that they will pay for this.
6 Do not blow smoke to cover up # 5. Reiterate that this is not FREE the reality is that you were not Chosen to received this.
7 . Then suggest they speak with family be fore installing. Asking them to be flexible with scheduling install DOES NOT MEAN to tell them the INSTALLER IS ON the WAY and appears as if he was parked out front waiting for your signal. Well, my Tuscaloosa home had an installation of an door ring camera and a outdoor camera with a flood light. It was installed June 2025, the installation was flawed because the flood light was inoperable. I had a technician called out after having to purchase an extended plan through vivinit, and an technician came out Saturday Aug. 09th I believe. The technician informed me that in his 3 years employed with vivinit, he hasn't seen an incorrect wiring job done on my front camera system with the flood light. The issue was unsolvable and the technician had to reschedule the service call until this following Saturday Aug. 16th to rectify the situation. I am currently without camera detection in front of my home. I am paying for a service that has not been fully functional or completed. I am very unhappy as I have been a customer of vivinit for 10+ years.

I was scheduled for a technician to complete my installation on 08/08/25 between 8am - 12noon. I reached out to customer service several times regarding the status of the technician, I was advised the technician was enroute, that the technician had completed the job & the ticket/appt was closed. I had to get rescheduled yet again for a technician to cone out on 08/15/25 to complete the installation. The interaction I had with Sid to start the service is vastly different from the quality of service I am currently experiencing.
The entire system not adequate
Doorbell rings louder outside at the bell. The sales person didn't mention the need for door bell extenders and they are not loud enough as well. There's was no mention of purchasing window magnets for the windows at ground level. So my house is not fully secure. The door bell should have still been enabled through the chime box as well and not bypassed. For what I've spent on this system I would have been better off keeping what I had. Not a happy customer at this time.

I recommend going with a different company. Cameras would not catch all instances. Its wifi operated and wifi can be turned off of blocked by potential thieves. When I cancelled the subscription after paying off equipment, the apps on the phones were turned off. The next day, the control panel started to malfunction not captioning all known instances, 0 instances on ring camera and 4 on garage camera when it typically averaged about 40 videos a day prior. Basically my control panel is sabotaged some way. It took about 1 hr and 20 minutes to cancel subscription with them offering 5 different options and unwilling to cancel you. I had to cancel subscription due to being out of work. I also would think the equipment would continue to work as it should. I feel i have been misled, misinformed and somewhat punished for cancelling. Not good customer service.

Had a bad experience from the start on the install,Soon as tech left,I start going through the steps for my doorbell,That didn’t work,I made a call to Muhammad that sold me the system,Then my Garage light would not work ,I called and they told me that I had to do a software version update,Excuse me I have to do the update,What in the hell am I paying y’all for,That update should have been done and checked before they left my home,So that didn’t work,I called back They said they would send a tech out Wednesday,They never came,Never called me to say we are not coming or we are late,As of today I am still waiting for a tech,Don’t waste your time or money with this company

I never thought that I would let this happen to me in my own home. This was the most high-pressure sales pitch. I have had doubt and regret ever since I bought the product. I am ashamed. The installation guy was good though.

This was my second attempt. I was given several different monthly payments after the original quote the first time and no body seen to know why. It made me very suspicious. Max came to my house for the second attempt and he was very helpful, my reason for trying it a second time. The installer was also great, but something went wrong with the financing (Not my fault) and the problems started over. Again I felt the uneasy feeling of incompetence. Problem solved; but the stress was more than I needed now that I am dealing with the recent passing of my husband. I look forward to a better experience with the service.

The guy who installed the equipment was nice but he didn't put anything back how he found it. He left my attic door open, the equipment was not installed properly and I had to fix everything back when he left. There is a delay in equipment and I don't get alerts on my phone when someone approaches my house.
