Rear camera does not nor ever has worked.
For 2 to 3 years, we have been paying for a backyard camera that was never set up. Connor’s service tech who came to install our front camera is the one who found the rear camera not working, nor has it ever worked. We thought that because the lights (red and green circle) were on that it was working. When he came back and tried to fix it, he cannot. Connor is supposed to send someone who can, or get us a new camera or a refund for the time we have paid for a useless camera.
Vivant Security is a scam
The only good thing about Vivant is the installers, the equipment, and monthly service. However, the customer service and sale people do nothing but lie to you. Guy came to the door with a promotion for new, panel, new camera, and a the door bell was free and would not be added to the Fortiva bill. COMPLETE LIE, AND A SCAM. After not resolving the problem the girl offered to sell me with a 20% discount additional equipment. If they come to your door send them away and if they offer something make sure you do not sign anything for the financing unless it says exactly what they offered. Because once you call customer service they will be worthless.

Después de la instalación del control Vivint el Aire Acondicionado dejo de funcionar y Vivint envío otro técnico para revisar la instalación pero esa revisión no sirvió y el sistema continúo sin funcionar. Tuve que traer un técnico de AC Cty Air and Heating quien encontró que el cableado efectuado por su técnico estaba mal hecho; hizo las correcciones necesarias y entonces el sistema volvió a trabajar normalmente. A este le pagué 100.00 dólares por su servicio y desde entonces el sistema ha estado trabajando correctamente. Espero que Uds. asuman la responsabilidad de esta corrección y me reintegren este dinero lo más pronto posible. Les agradezco su atención inmediata a esta reclamación y buenas tardes.

After signing free trail for 60 days
After signing free trail for 60 days, I signed with Bread Financial. I realized I did not want the two cameras and tried to cancel before they installed. Your rep. David H. Came back to my house and insisted to do it. Install the two cameras. I can’t put all the blame on David cause I did let them. It’s been a couple weeks and plan to cancel this month before free trial expires. I hope you take them back cause I really can’t afford. Thank you .Raymond A Muro.

Got from good to worse
I have been a Vivint customer for about a dozen years over two places within the same city. A few false alarms over a period of two months recently got me to realize it is time for a change. I was now worried to go anywhere as a false alarm may trigger a visit from security and possibly forcibly open my door while I am away. The customer reps did not seem to fully understand the issue. And kept me on the phone for well over an hour trying to pitch various new services to someone who was frustrated with the current system. Tone deaf.

I spoke with three different Vivint reps. about issues I had the day after I had Vivint install a new thermostat and doorbell camera. I spent 5-6 days without cool air. My thermostat malfunctioned causing my home's temp to climb up to 84 degrees.
The first Vivint rep said it was because of my energy company and the type of energy saving plan I had with them. The second Vivint rep. said it was my AC wasn't working, causing me to spend money on an AC rep. to tell me it wasn't my AC but the new thermostat I just had installed. The third Vivint rep. had me do a thermostat reprogram, which worked.
Obviously, the Vivint reps need more training on how to help new customer (like me) resolve issues.
As of right now, I rate Vivint reps with a D report card.
Promises were made…
Sales person (Ethan) made promises he hasn’t followed up with. He rushed our installation. It took longer than he said. When completed, our spotlights weren’t working. He promised to have them fixed the next day as we were heading out of town. It didn’t happen. He again promised to get it scheduled for the following week. Still nothing. His follow up skills need work.
Late, sloppy, inconsiderate
Technician was late and arrived right when I had a work meeting. They also took 4 hours to complete installation (I was told 2 hours) forcing me to lock my pet up for the entire time. The Technician also left some boxes for the thermostats on the floor along with the old thermostats without any guidance on how to properly dispose of the thermostats.

My sells rep said something was included in my pricing he gave me. But learned it wasn’t in my pricing so he said he will get it comp’d but still hasn’t been done yet… Keeps saying will be fixed tomorrow for now 2 days so hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow….

Salesman Josh Fast never kept his word on half the things he said. Workers were at my home till 1 am and a second time till midnight and wanted to return which I declined.. Never got any true prices and was caught in between Josh and a manager arguing about charging us$189!! Josh guaranteed call backs and never did. Didn’t answer text. And never gave me $1200 discount like he said!! Offered free months of service but not in writing. I am busy moving in and out of houses but probably will cancel!!!

I’m very disappointed dt my products I recently purchased after only having them for 1week isn’t working correctly. I tried troubleshooting and nothing changed, so I called the service # stayed on the phone over 1 1/2 and the service representative couldn’t help solve the problem. So I’m still out of service with my product. Very disappointing!!!
The system works ok/ pay to play
The system works ok. Lot of times the app is really slow. The biggest thing is that you have to pay for a service or you lose all access to the equipment you bought. Its basically extortion and they don't even tell you this when you are purchasing. If you go to cancel thats what they use to get you to stay telling you all equipment is worthless going forward. I just wanted a system to monitor when I am out of town for long periods but when I am at home for long periods of time I don't need that and still want to use the cameras but apparently you can not.
Miss lead with pricing
Miss lead with pricing. My first estimate was around 1600 dollars. Once completed my bill was 3200. I felt like I was at a car dealership, with the sales person going back and forth with their supervisor.

The salesperson was dishonest
The salesperson was dishonest. He told me I would be receiving the equipment for free because of a promotion, then handed me an iPad to fill out information for my account while continuing to talk to me and it was the application for Fortiva financing to pay for the equipment. I received a credit card in the mail today from Fortiva I did not want.
He also told me my existing keypad deadbolt lock would be integrated into the system which did not happen.

Inside panel stopped working first day and it happened for a second time and been offline for more than a week. A tech could not come sooner.
