Issues with install
Issues with install, was told almost one week ago someone would contact me. Has not happened yet. My call would not get forwarded to a supervisor. Viviant customer service is one of the worst.

You never called me back or text me for the question I had and so I got no answer. Why should I pay for me device that you put in and now don’t work. So I’m seriously thinking of canceling.

Mixed emotions
Sales guy is non-responsive since the install. The tech showed up with the wrong door locks as they were entered incorrectly on the order. Then said they could supply the correct ones and I’d have to pay to have them installed or I could go buy them myself and call Vivent and they can walk me through the programming. As it was described to me, the items would be wired in but they are installed with a plug and cat-5 cable that is visible. However, the tech was personable, knowledgeable and efficient as well as very polite. After one week, I received notice today the CO monitor is no longer communicating with the panel and the battery may need replaced.

Take time to teach.....everything this unit can do.
This time? How often does this happen? Look, I have this door lock and camera system but I have no idea what the capabilitites are and what can this system do. Can I receive an alert if someone comes to the house? Can I be miles away and get an alert that there is someone at my front door of my house? I got a piece of plastic that turns out to be a stand for my monitor, No instructions, or how to pull the power wires out to install the stand. The fellow who installed the unit was very nice and polite but he didn't give me a rundown on the capabilities of the camera system.

first I have learned to never go with a company that wants to install their equipment like now before you have time to look into things…equipment expensive but seemed to be very nice. technicians stayed until 1a first night which is completely inappropriate. scheduled next day 8-10a to finish things up . they were one hour late. told tech I was thinking I did not want system too many issues. instead of inquiring he hooked it up anyway. thought I would talk to my sales person rodriquez as he promised to come back to check on me never did… once techs gone that day noted a unauthorized $255.47 charge to my debit card. called vivint no one can tell me for what. so cancelled all within the 3 days. all equipment removed. never again. never got to give insight on where i may need cameras placed etc… not a great experience . please make sure i am credited the 3.66 and 255.47 ty

Camera not operating …
Still have one camera not operational and have yet to have a call back to schedule a person to come and check out the camera

As a Realtor
As a Realtor, I opted for Vivint when they said they would pay off my ADT contract to see the difference in quality. They replaced my current camers with better quality cameras. After a month is when the service declined significantly. My detection area is only about 30 feet from the camera and does not detect anything else in my yard even though my settings are much farther out. My wife's app never shows live footage regardless of what we've done with resetting the app and the system. I never had the issues with ADT that I do with Vivint! Trying to say how unhappy we are with them only gets the reply of, "your under contract". I hate that phrase! companies over promise, trap you in a legal contract, THEN underdeliver. I cant wait for my contract to be over so I can dump them and go back to ADT!

I feel like i was dropped
I feel like i was dropped. You said you was coming back last Monday no one showed up. I was on the understanding I was trying your company out to see if I wanted it. You took out my old company . How am I exposed to say no and stay with my old company. I received financing paper work that I wasn't aware so my bank stopped my account. Now I have no card until next week. No im not happy with your company. I wish my son had not opened the door.

Sales Rep, Marshall was so eager to make the sale that the install took two days dues to lack of available installers. I asked the second installer if there was an Owners manual for the system and he no there wasn't one and he suggested that there were plenty of videos on YOU TUBE that could answer any questions. In summary I could not recommend Vivint to anyone especially another fellow senior citizen since we are used to having an owners manual. Bottom line is I have a system that I don't know how to use!

I had a huge incident on March 9th and…
I had a huge incident on March 9th and guess what did not work during that incident your cameras. Everyday from 7ish or exactly at 8PM up to now the camera is spinning but not working! I was told it would by pass WIFI issues etc. But NO! My neighbors ADT worked and was able to show the fire chief and police what happened.

I had service with Vivent for 6 years
I had service with Vivent for 6 years. The actual security service was ok. not great, but about what you'd expect for the price. I am truly not exaggerating, however, when I say that the customer service from Vivent is the worst I've experienced from any home service provider, ever. I attempted to cancel service due to a relocation (equipment fully paid for) and received confirmation during that call that service had been cancelled, only to realize 5 months later that I'd continued to be charged all along. I was passed to 3 different agents, all of whom refused to escalate to a supervisor. The ultimate outcome is that they are refusing to refund me for the last 5 months, and I've been provided with forms that I must send in to request a cancellation. The request will be reviewed within 30 days, and I'll continue to be charged for whatever portion of those 30 days it takes them to process the paperwork. As icing on the cake, the agent ended our 45-minute call by attempting to offer me a steep discount if I wanted to upgrade my security equipment (at my old house!!) to the latest technology.

Did not know how had set an alarm off. No alarm received from anywhere until the police got here. I haven’t had it on since that was the day it was installed. No services used since. I have looked at my ring service until I was signed out by the system and couldn’t sign back in. I requested access and still waiting. Poor response when you need help with changing password since. I was not able to get my son access after multiple invitations to him. Poor service. I did leave a message with Ernst the installer’s number he gave me to contact if I needed anything. I did not receive a response until that afternoon. It said he was off and to try his text. I gave up with trying to reach him. He text with prom deal. Automated

We have been having issues getting…
We have been having issues getting alerts since day one. A tech supervisor did come out and make it better but now my wife isn't getting any alerts to her phone. She restarts the phone and gets alerts for about 30 minutes then nothing.

Steer Clear due to Lack of Standards
Was quoted about $1,000 less than actual install cost, and that’s without the deadbolts that I specifically requested multiple times that the technician said “I wasn’t told I needed to bring them”. Called customer loyalty and got nothing but a run around and was offered a $5 a month credit for a $30 a month discrepancy. Would definitely caution against using Vivint, and I will not be using them ever again.
